B00K REVIEW, SCANDINAVIAN AUTHOR JUSSI ADLER-OLSEN/DENMARK MYSTERY

THE HANGING GIRL,  by Jussi Adler-Olsen:

500 pages of pure pleasure!  The stage is set………a dead girl hanging upside down in a tree!

It starts out slowly with 2 separate stories that travel side by side and eventually bind together with a highly satisfying ending!

Adler-Olsen has written 6 books now about Department Q ( They handle cold cases that nobody wants or believes are worth the trouble.)  It all started with THE KEEPER OF LOST CAUSES. If you haven’t read any of the books…..get the first one and keep on reading………..they just get better. The characters are developed starting with the first book so starting there gives you a lot of background on them that really does add to the stories.

A very interesting part of this book is the possible origin of religion in various parts of the world……why different cultures believe basically the same things but with different characters! REALLY worth your time to read about that!

Timing in life is critical. A few minutes late for an appointment or a missed flight or sun light or dark can alter people’s lives in frightening ways. How we perceive an event can change the outcome of lives all over the world. Our lives can depend on the assumption of somebody we don’t even know! So watch out………….it could be YOU next!

As soon as Adler-Olsen delivers a new Department Q book…………I’ll have my order in right away. Order it in hard cover with the book jacket!!!! Get that feel of a real book in your hand! Drink in the smell of the ink and paper……..look and see how many pages are in it………how many chapters?…..just sit there and hold it!

I love my Kindle but I’ll never stop wanting a hard copy book in my lap on a cold wintry day to keep my content and happy!

What about you?!!!!
