YES!    NO!!!!!!!! Well, MAYBE?!!!!!!!  ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!! You Damn Well Better Believe IT !

BUT…………………………………………………

“THOU SHALT NOT KILL!”  VENGEANCE IS MINE, THUS SAITH!” …………..  

It turns out that the title statement is not a YES or NO question!

Think about it!  Remember, we are talking about human beings………….not other animals.

1. In the “cave man” days………..it was kill or be killed.
2. During the feudalism days and similar types of civilization………………it was get together as a group for protection…………but it was usually still ………protect and kill or BE KILLED!
3. So down through the ages………..we collect together and arm ourselves for protection……..but we are still put in positions where it is kill or be killed.
4. a.  A crazy (broad definition and sometimes hard to determine) person attacks you ………..do you just stand there and say……Hey, wait just a minute……..don’t you know there is a law that says “thou shalt not kill”! WHAM! You’re dead……….you are right………….there is definitely a law prohibiting it but you’re still the one dead!
   b. You are in the armed forces (just pick one of thousands around the world). And here comes this (crazy person)…..refer back to the definition above…….with a rifle, a bayonet, spear, club, fire poker, etc. (just pick any one here)………should you remind him/her of the law or just kill them right there before they kill you?                                    c. You are in a courtroom and the guy who raped and killed your son or daughter has just been found NOT GUILTY by reason of insanity. Do you stand up and say “I forgive you, you just didn’t know what you were doing?”                                                                           d. You are walking down the street and you see somebody with a backpack and a phone aimed at the backpack obviously going to detonate a bomb. You have a gun and you are too far away to run and stop it……………do you shoot or just stand there and wait to get blown up with the bomb?

“WHEN all is said and done.”………………you, we……..all of us are faced with situations where we have to decide (make a decision)….what to do under a certain set of circumstances. YES, WE HAVE A CHOICE……….ALWAYS!  

The only “catch” is that when we choose……………we have to live with that choice! So choose very carefully!

Having talked to people who have killed somebody…………..or witnessed a killing they say You never forget that feeling!!!!!! You can’t understand it until it happens to you……..but when it does, you will never forget the feeling!

Nobody can tell you what to do………….just hope you never have to make that decision.
