I’ve been reviewing some TV shows and also DVD’s of TV Series for a while now so my regular readers know how I feel about the Hallmark Channel and the types of shows/series that they provide.

I ENJOY DARK MATERIAL LIKE CRIME  AND MURDER MYSTERIES. WHY!?

I’ve thought long and hard about that:

1. Life is not all roses and cream! If you live in a bubble of protection of total goodness, how do you know how to appreciate the good in your life if you don’t know the bad in comparison?

2. Everybody has dark thoughts………….don’t deny it! BUT most people don’t ACT on them! That’s the difference, you hear the voice in your head but you just tell it to shut up and leave you alone. And then you think, “There but for the Grace of God go I!”

3. You see/hear of somebody who has done a really bad deed or been the victim of one terrible crime and you think, “thank God it didn’t happen to me and mine”!

4. Those people who can learn from other people’s mistakes are the lucky ones! Reading, seeing, hearing about dark subjects is better than living them in person!

AND I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT TOO MUCH DARK CAN HURT YOU! SO I CAME UP WITH SOMETHING TO BALANCE IT OUT! YES, THE HALLMARK CHANNEL!

When watching something like “True Detectives or Plenty Dreadful” I will watch one or two episodes and then switch to something I’ve recorded on the Hallmark Channel!  It balances it out and I don’t get sad or depressed from being exposed to too much DARK.

I recommended the Hallmark Channel to a friend of mine as a buffer for the dark programs but was informed that the Hallmark Channel just didn’t work for him………..and I understand that , BUT I stand by my statement, “Everybody needs their (Hallmark Channel) whatever form or subject that might be!!!!!!!!!!!”
