THE SETH PROJECT UPDATE

IT HAS BEEN A WHILE SINCE I’VE UPDATED WHAT’S GOING ON WITH THE SETH PROJECT! 

And a lot has been going on, but I decided to wait until some of the clouds partied and clear skies opened up before I shared the progress. Much of the research into the inner side of our being is composed of doing and then thinking about it, letting all that we’ve learned “sink in”  and then waiting for the next wave of understanding and learning to appear. It is a slow (years) process but every stage is important to the overall outcome.

Brief review of previous plateaus in The Seth Project:

1. Hypnosis: Learning the technique of guided hypnosis and meditation and exploring age regression techniques. ( See previous blog posts about The Seth Project)

2. Understanding quantum physics on a level of involvement in spiritual growth. Examining personal beliefs as related to the topics listed in #1 above.

3. Deciding what path of the many available to take when learning. I tried several different ones and then “my spiritual guides” told me, “there are only very small rocks on your path, you are on the right road, move on!”  And so I have!

Some of the major lessons learned on the quest for spiritual growth:

1.The physical body dies, but the spiritual one does not!

2. What GOD is, is personal to each individual.

3. Everything is connected by energy and vibrations. 

4. GOD does not make mistakes! There are no abominations! 

5. YES, you can meditate! If you can “daydream, you can meditate!

6. YOU ALWAYS HAVE A CHOICE!  ALWAYS!!! If you don’t like what you have, change it!

7. YOU create your own reality!

8. Guided hypnosis and meditation can heal (This will become a major part of medicine in the next two decades!)

9. Quantum physics and quantum mechanics will become “common knowledge” in the next 10 years!

10. “If you believe, you will receive!” is TRUE!!!!

11. Suicide IS NOT A SIN! IT is a LESSON!

DO You REALLY Have to LIVE it in Order to LEARN It?

First hand experience might be the best way to learn a lesson,  but is it necessary  to LIVE every experience in order to LEARN the lesson?

If you read a book, watch a movie, watch somebody else’s life or just think about about a situation that teaches a lesson in life, can’t you learn your lessons without actually living them out in your own life?

Think about it. There are MANY ways in life to learn. Pay attention to everyday life  and learn all of the time.

Does it really matter how we learn? Isn’t the main outcome that we LEARN?

Hallmark being chased by Lifetime!

The race isn’t close, YET! BUT if you had bought stock in the company that now owns Hallmark CH, etc. (now privately owned) you would not be worried about the stock market ups and downs!

For years the Hallmark Channels have concentrated on “formula” Christmas, Thanksgiving and other holiday movies and series that are built around family issues and causes. Over the last 5 years they realized that in addition to “cards” and stores and decorations that their annual movies were bringing in big money during the holidays and they expanded the formula to the entire year! BIG SUCCESS!

There is a HUGE reason for their continued and growing successes: Simple and true; the good guys always win and the bad ones never do! Of course it is a little more complicated than that but pretty much the Movie AND the Series MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER AT THE END AND MAKE YOU WANT TO COME BACK FOR MORE!

SO Hallmark, watch your back, Lifetime Channel is learning from your successes! AND YOU as a reader, find out who owns the Lifetime Channel and buy some stock in it because LIFETIME CHANNELS are breaking “new ground” that Hallmark hasn’t tried yet……..YES, it IS that obvious! I see it!

Author Update: Icelandic and Scandinavian Writers, Arnaldur Indridason

Crime Thrillers! One of the best Icelandic Authors, Arnaldur Indridason  has written 12 crime thrillers about Reykjavik, Iceland  including Jar City and Reykjavik Nights. Recently he started a new series of books about war-time (WWII) in Reykjavik during and after the occupation by American and British troops. In addition to the murders he includes the social issues that arose because of the influx of foreigners. War and occupation always bring changes and the psychology of why people kill others is studied in the first two books in this series:

The Shadow District and The Shadow Killer

Several of Indridason’s books have been made into movies with one of the best being JAR CITY!

Iceland was strategically located during the World Wars and was therefore involved in unique ways. Reading about them explains a lot not only about the wars but also the people!

Great reads for these long winter nights! Clear your calendar because once you start one of these books you won’t want to stop until the ending!

The Purge Came and Is Almost OVER (This Time!)

After at least 3 Movies the 10 Episode TV Series hit us with a vengeance!

I’ve waited until ALL of the “hoop-la” about The Purge was over to make an evaluation about it. So, after many months of looking and experiencing it here goes MY take on it!

A very serious effect was made to not be judgemental (impossible to do for me!). It was depressing, unnerving, gory, and practically nothing positive about it! The only series on TV that is worse (for me) is the “Walking Dead, Zombie series”.. The first time I saw a small little girl as a crazy wild acting zombie, THAT DID IT FOR ME!

As for something positive, the idea for a society run by a government that plans and advocates a 12 hour period of time once a year where all types of crime including murder are allowed with no punishment of any kind just doesn’t fit here! It is advertised as a means to allow all of the pain and suffering you have accumulated over the last year to be “purged out” so that you can stand another year of agony!

So, nothing positive from me for The PURGE! The Law of Attraction declares that “Like draws LIKE, and Negative draws NEGATIVE”!

For me and mine……………I choose POSITIVE and UPLIFTING! EVERY TIME!

Anybody beg to differ?

Origin/Dan Brown/Book Review

WOW! I RARELY SAY THIS ABOUT A BOOK WITH SUCH EMPHASIS! BUT WOW!

632 Pages of pure enjoyment!

After you read it:      1. You’ll be sorry the book has ended but glad to get to the                                             ending.

2. You’ll want to take a trip to Spain to see all of the wonderful

places described in this action packed journey.

3. You’ll hope the movie comes out early next year.

4. You’ll rethink your ideas about “‘where we came from                                          and where we are going!?”

                                      5. You’ll rethink your beliefs about AI (artificial intelligence)

                                      6. You’ll either be very optimistic OR really sad OR scared OR                                             confused! OR all of the above.

BUT,  you’ll be glad you read it and have a lot of interesting conversation material all saved up for your next party or social excursion!!!!!!

After thought!:

When the movie is made I hope Tom Hanks and other well know actors will step aside and give some newcomers a chance to find their places in the movie business. Once you have proven yourself at the top of your “game” why have to keep on having to do the same thing over and over and over?! (hello out there congress men and women). You’ve made your mark! Move over!

Downsizing!

WOW! What a word! Everybody uses it ………….from clothes, houses, volunteering, circle of friends to yards, circles of influences and the list goes on! BUT,

Which type of “downsizing” affects YOU!?  When are YOU supposed to do it? AND HOW?!!                  So we are now down to the WHEN and the HOW“?

WHEN?

1. Death and dying: If you are lucky enough to know if and when it might be a good time to do it before.

2. Sometimes “downsizing to ZERO” in some things is not a good idea!” Not clothes  Or Food!

3. Life in general is OVER Crowded……………good time to go “Uncrowded”!

4. Depressed? Clean out and make room for NEW!

HOW? Let me count the ways! The main thing to decide is the WHAT! A lesson learned from The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People/Stephen Covey is to make a list of your MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE AND THINGS! IN ORDER! When you know who your most important people and what things in your life are, it becomes simple.

GO FOR IT!

The NEXT “Facebook” !?

The kids and grand kids have left for Instagram and  Snapchat! Where else have they gone?! Every time I think we’ve caught up with them, they run to something somewhere else!

Somewhere “out there” some brilliant young mind is developing the “NEXT” everything! If you find out what it is and where I can find it! PLEASE LET me know!

TV Reviews/Update Late Summer

In this vast wasteland of Summer TV…….amid the reruns of reruns of reruns a few of the newer shows have stood out with a possibility of becoming regulars with season renewals as rewards.

As my readers know I tend to go for “Happy”! We get bombarded with enough negativity from morning til-night in the newspapers, newscasts, even the weather reports……………….what town is burning down right next to the town where 8 people were shot for no particular reason predicting morning and afternoon tornadoes and don’t forget to watch Sharknado on TV! To balance life out a bit I go to the Hallmark Channels. We can always count on them to lift us up and give us hope!

My top 5 TV picks for this summer are 4 repeats + 1 new series

Colony, Endeavour, Shetland, and The Tunnel. These TV shows are in their 3-4th seasons. What they all have in common is development of characters and story lines that allow us to believe that the stories and the characters are real! We care about all of them….even those who are evil (we can understand why they act the way they do).

Colony/ a futuristic look at what could happen if we are invaded by an alien species.

Endeavour/ a good ole English police investigation team solving crimes. A well seasoned inspector is a mentor to the younger trainee.

Shetland/ off the coast of Scotland lies an island called Shetland. The have a great investigative police department and can solve crimes on their own except when the action takes place locally and internationally.

The Tunnel / great action packed series from England/France (The Tunnel) connecting the 2!!!! The first season starts with a dead body halfway on English territory and the other half on French. Collaboration between the two countries makes for interesting dialog and action!

POSE/ an eye-opening look at a place in history I knew nothing about in the early 1980’s when the AIDS epidemic was just beginning to make the news. It is about a group of society I didn’t understand. After watching this fantastic presentation I do understand much more now and realize how none of us have the right to judge anyone even if you’ve walked many miles in their shoes………it goes a lot deeper than walking in shoes!

2 summer offerings/ one succeeds in getting my attention, the other fails:

Old movie, Open Range with Kevin Costner: great story about an open range (cattle) group battling with local people against open range policies. Violence/death/but the characters are “real people” that you can care and root for and feel good at the end.

New TV series , Yellowstone Kevin Costner again: bad story line/ fighting over land out west that the Indians once owned and now they are being kept on a reservation. Unessary nudity and hateful and mean people. I gave up after 1 and a 1/2 episodes.

What TV programing is coming up in our future this year? The Hallmark CH will have 21 Christmas movies starting in October and also a Halloween Special Wedding ( you regulars will know all about that one!) Chesapeake Shores starts this weekend!

AND REMEMBER!!!!! THE PURGE IS COMING!!!!!! Early August/SOON! The TV Series. It is gonna be really awful to watch/kinda like watching The Walking Dead except ( Well, you’ll just have to watch it yourself! 🙂

Writing/The Most Important Quality!

Why do people write?! They want to convince, entertain, help, get something off of their chest, etc.  So what has been found to be ONE if not THE MAIN quality in being successful in accomplishing their goals?

EMPATHY!!!! The people reading, watching have to LIKE the character or theme or situation. The QUALITY of the writing or film or TV or whatever the source is important but the SUBJECT/OBJECT play a major part in the success!

EXAMPLES: Recently the TV show POSE was on and then CLAWS followed. I thought POSE was sensational BUT after watching the “trailers” for CLAWS dismissed it totally.  GENIUS, season one was about Einstein ( GREAT production, subject, etc. I raved over it!). GENIUS, season two was about Picasso (I watched 4 episodes and quit! Same great quality of production, despicable character!!!). The movie, Winters Bone (Black and White filming), subject was sad but the character was so “lovable” that I wanted to keep watching to find out what happened to her! The HUNGER GAMES (Books and Movies)! I CARED about the characters and wanted to know what happened to them!

WRITERS! If you want to be read, understood and effective make the reader or watcher of your work LIKE the narrator who is telling the story. Make the reader/watcher CARE about the story line…………..otherwise you’ll lose them after they figure out they don’t LIKE or CARE about any of it!
