Blood and guts! Mayhem!

Recently 2 movies were listed in the TV section of the local paper. “The Purge” and “The Purge, Anarchy”. AND advertisements about a “new Purge movie were on TV. The new movie, The First Purge (the prequel?)
I decided to see what The PURGE was all about. WOW!!!!!

Somewhere in the near future “the government” has declared that once a year all crime to include murder, etc. will be legal for 12 hours. The reasoning is that during this 12 hour time span all of those who are burdened with hate and loathing will be able to “get it out of their system” and they will be able to live peacefully for another year until the next purging takes place.

BUT, what has happened is that “the purges” are actually eliminating the poor and needy and those who cannot protect themselves during each purge. The rich and powerful can protect themselves and even pay renegades to find those who can’t protect themselves and bring them to the rich to use as private “targets” for their rage and entertainment during the purges…..they never have to leave the safety of their “clubs”!!!!

So, what is the future for this Purge enterprise? More movies as long as  people will pay to see them. But what about the REAL MESSAGE HERE? Anytime you have too much of a difference between the “classes” (poor, middle and rich) and then you remove the middle class, the “poor” have nothing…………..to lose!

                                  And history repeats itself………………… AGAIN!
